At EmbodyMind, we believe true wellness begins from within. Life can move fast and feel overwhelming, leaving us tense, scattered, and disconnected.

That’s why we offer mindful movement practices designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, & feel stronger, more stable, and at ease—both physically and mentally.

Our Yoga and Pilates classes offer practical, effective ways to meet the demands of daily life with more comfort and clarity.

Yoga encourages stillness and presence. Our Yoga classes help decompress and traction the spine, calm the nervous system, and be more present on and off the mat.

Pilates builds strength and stability from the inside out, teaching you how to move with awareness, support your joints, and practice functional movement that supports your everyday life, leaving you feeling stronger and more stable.

Practicing both Pilates & Yoga, helps you develop a more complete fitness routine—where movement meets mindfulness, and strength is balanced with comfort & ease.

Whether you join a group class or work with us one-on-one, EmbodyMind is a space where you can feel supported, seen, & encouraged as you are, so you can have space to learn, grow, & flourish from the inside out.

At EmbodyMind, we believe that if you take care of your mind and body, you will feel positive changes on and off the mat.

That's why we created EmbodyMind Wellness, a supportive space to discover the benefits of integrating the mind and body through mindful movement modalities, like Pilates and Yoga - allowing you to experience comfort, ease, stability, and strength in body and mind.

Note from the Founder:

Danielle Martineau, LICSW is the founder of EmbodyMind Wellness. With over a decade of experience as a trauma-focused mental health clinician and more than 30 years practicing dance, yoga, and Pilates, Danielle brings am embodied approach to her offerings as a seasoned psychotherapist, yoga teacher, and Pilates instructor.

Her clinical work has centered on treating chronic stress, especially in women. Early in her career, she recognized a gap in traditional therapy—one that overlooked the healing power of the body. This insight led her to integrate movement into her mental health practice, earning certifications in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Trauma-Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TC-TSY), as well as teacher certifications in yoga and Pilates.

While earning her MSW at Smith College School for Social Work, Danielle focused her studies on the connection between trauma and the body, particularly yoga’s role in trauma recovery. Over the next decade, she worked as a trauma clinician and outpatient therapist in both community and hospital settings, witnessing firsthand the need for more integrative care.

In 2020, Danielle launched her private practice. By 2024, she expanded EmbodyMind into a wellness studio rooted in the belief that movement and mental health are inseparable. The studio now offers group and private sessions that blend mindful movement with emotional support, creating space for clients to feel stronger, more grounded, and more at home in themselves.

Danielle completed her 500-hour yoga teacher training with Patty Townsend in the Embodyoga tradition in 2013. She is currently completing her comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Body, mentored by Zayna Gold and Liv Nurmi of Boston Body.

At EmbodyMind Wellness, our mission is to support whole-person wellness by guiding individuals back to themselves through mindful movement.

Rooted in the practices of Pilates and yoga, we offer a safe, inclusive space where strength, stability, comfort, and ease are cultivated not as separate goals, but as interconnected qualities—like cogwheels or fractals—building resilience in body, mind, and spirit.

We honor the unique journey of each person with compassion, understanding, and respect, and we meet you where you are with the thoughtful guidance of highly skilled instructors.
