Heather Salazar
Heather Salazar uses an integrative approach to help people lead their best, most-fulfilling lives.
With a background in philosophy, Heather recently graduated from Westfield State with a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. She uses an eclectic approach to her work and favors existential therapy in her work with individuals and couples. Working closely with clients, she helps them to develop an effective and empowering individualized therapeutic toolbox, useful both in and out of sessions. Heather supports her clients in opening into their full authentic selves to help manage anxiety, depression, and relationships.
With experience in CBT, mindfulness, yoga, art, and philosophy, her mission is to inspire her clients to live each day with more happiness and authenticity. She is also a Professor of Philosophy and is an expert in philosophy of mind, ethics, and yoga, as well as a founder of the field of philosophy of spirituality. Among Salazar’s publications are Mind Over Matter (editor 2024), Creating a Shared Morality (2021), The Philosophy of Spirituality (editor 2018), and Philosophy of Mind (editor 2019). She sees adolescents, couples, and individuals.
